Case & Cappetta (1997: 152, plate 9) erected Texabatis corrugata for dasyatid-like teeth from the Kemp Clay (Late Maastrichtian) of Texas. The teeth are best characterized by their rugose labial crown face and elongated and lingually directed cusp. In complete specimens, the roots are broader and more erect (less lingually directed) than seen in Dasyatis and more reminiscent of certain mobulid tooth-designs. They included the Welton & Farish (1993: 156, Fig. 1) Dasyatis sp specimen as T. corrugata.
